Dr. Christina Jenkins and Claudia Page’s addition builds on Manatt Health’s work on improving health outcomes and access to care
Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, a multidisciplinary, integrated professional services firm, announced today the expansion of Manatt Health’s diverse team of lawyers and business consultants with the arrival of National Advisor Dr. Christina Jenkins in New York and Senior Advisor Claudia Page in San Francisco.
“Our integrated legal and consulting capabilities across the Firm and within Manatt Health continue to grow through the arrival of lawyers, consultants, physicians, entrepreneurs, private-sector executives and former government officials across our ten offices,” said Donna L. Wilson, CEO and Managing Partner of Manatt. “Christina and Claudia’s health care consulting and business experience is an exciting addition to our team, and they will be invaluable resources for our health care clients across all corners of the industry.”
As one of New York’s most notable health care leaders, Dr. Jenkins has proven experience in health system redesign and growth strategies, health care technology assessments, large-scale change management and multistakeholder collaboration, care model development, and clinical value improvement, and she works closely with health care leaders across provider, payer and venture-backed health care organizations. Separately, Dr. Jenkins actively leads venture capital investments in seed- and early-stage digital health and hardware-enabled platform companies that transform the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of health conditions.
With more than 25 years of experience in the health care and social services sectors, Page works with clients on research, policy analysis and strategy guidance on access to the health and social safety net. Having a background in philanthropy, nonprofit startup and management, board development, and policy analysis, she has worked on a multitude of projects aimed at addressing the health inequities various populations face through groundbreaking technology and public benefits financing.
“The addition of Christina and Claudia adds to our already top-flight talent roster with two well-recognized leaders in health policy, innovation and technology,” said Bill Bernstein, leader of Manatt Health. “Both have been pioneers in their careers and will add significantly to our ability to support our clients.”
Additionally, Dr. Jenkins worked closely with Bernstein as a vice-chairman of the NYC COVID-19 Rapid Response Coalition. In this role, she helped support vulnerable New Yorkers who were disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, via tech-enabled outreach and social services supports.
Page previously served as a safety net and innovation director, focusing on children’s and youth’s mental health in Medicaid and the social safety net. She has a deep understanding of how Medicaid managed care, schools and technological advancements—including tele-mental health—impact underserved children and youth. Page also launched a national social tech and policy nonprofit aimed at combining technology, policy and advocacy to improve enrollment in social benefit programs and increase access to care.
“I’m excited to work with the Manatt Health team under our shared mission of improving health outcomes, access and experience at scale,” said Dr. Jenkins. “Over the years, I’ve worked closely with many on the team, and it will be a joy to help support and sustain our clients’ success in transforming from within, using responsible innovation and change leadership to better meet the needs of patients, health care professionals and communities.”
Page added: “I have worked alongside Manatt Health for years and could not be more delighted to join this remarkable and diverse group of health care professionals. I can’t think of a better place to continue working on supporting innovation in the health care system.”
Dr. Jenkins and Page are the latest additions to Manatt’s diverse roster of health care legal and business consulting professionals. They join recent arrivals such as seasoned physician and researcher Amy Salerno; health care and civil litigation Partner Megan Thibert-Ind; antitrust and litigation Partner Stephen D. Libowsky; former New York State Department of Health Director Tracy F. Raleigh; former CEO and COO of New York Health + Hospitals/Harlem Eboné M. Carrington; D.C.-based health care professionals Linda Elam, Blair M. Cantfil and President Emeritus of the Association of American Medical Colleges Dr. Darrell G. Kirch; and health care attorney Brian D. Bewley. The group also recently announced the expansion and rebrand of its premium health care information service, Manatt on Health: Insights You Trust, which distills the latest legal, policy and market-based developments on the issues that matter most to health industry stakeholders.
Dr. Jenkins received her M.D. from Northwestern University School of Medicine and her B.S. in industrial management from Purdue University. Page received her B.A. in history from Connecticut College and participated in the University of California, Berkeley’s Executive Education program.
