This year’s giveaway will take place on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Mojave High School (5302 Goldfield St., North Las Vegas, NV 89031). To help students start the school year off right, 750 FREE backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 4:00 p.m., while supplies last. Students must be present to receive a backpack.
To make the day even more special, attendees can enjoy fun activities, complimentary snacks, and Lerner and Rowe swag while supplies last.
Back-to-school costs continue to place a significant financial strain on many households. Families nationwide spent an average of $858 per household on back-to-school essentials for the 2025–2026 school year, according to the National Retail Federation. In Clark County, where roughly 75% of students meet federal income guidelines for assistance, the need remains substantial. For many households already balancing rising living expenses, a free backpack stocked with school supplies can help ease the burden of preparing for a new school year.

For everyone’s safety, attendees are kindly asked to remain in their vehicles until the event begins and to be mindful of pedestrians and other vehicles when entering and exiting the parking lot and while lining up at the venue.
