By: Get News

Daejeon Center for Creative Economy & Innovation announced on Thursday that the 2025 Startup Korea Investment Week (SIW), held from September 15 to 18 in the Daejeon Startup Park area of Gung-dong, Yuseong-gu, concluded successfully.

Co-hosted by the Daejeon Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and organized by the center, SIW has grown into the largest region-based startup–investor meetup event in South Korea.

This year’s event brought together 110 investment firms, including 75 domestic and 35 overseas companies. A total of 1,100 one-on-one meetings were held between investors and 520 participating startups, facilitated through SIW’s pre-matching system aimed at strengthening practical investment connections.

Alongside investment consultations, the event featured 84 programs, including forums, seminars, and demo days, attracting approximately 4,000 participants. The overall number of attendees during the four-day event reached 1,393, bringing the cumulative SIW participation count to 6,200.

The center noted that this year’s SIW expanded the presence of both domestic and international investors in the Daejeon region, contributing to the activation of the local startup ecosystem and generating meaningful collaborative outcomes.

Park Dae-hee, CEO of the Daejeon Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, said,

“Startup Korea Investment Week has established itself as a platform where startups and investors can achieve tangible results. We will continue to support regional startups so they can strengthen their global competitiveness and secure sustainable growth.”
