GAITHERSBURG, MD / ACCESS Newswire / June 12, 2026 / TLab Inc. today welcomed the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announcement of a new national plan to strengthen the response to infection associated chronic illnesses (IACI) that may include conditions resulting from Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses.

The HHS plan includes initiatives focused on prevention, research, innovation, diagnostics, treatment and patient care. HHS also announced LymeX innovation efforts, continued support for next-generation Lyme diagnostics and a public-private collaboration with the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) to help connect patients with experienced providers and educational resources.
