Singer songwriter Kyla Nicole Healey will release her new EP, Butterfly, on June 28, 2026, a six song collection that explores transformation, resilience, longing, and personal freedom through a rich fusion of indie pop, folk, rock, Middle Eastern textures, and jazz influences.
Known for her evocative storytelling and emotionally expressive vocals, Healey creates music that defies easy categorization. The six track collection features “Psyche,” “Butterfly,” “Freedom In Your Kiss,” “River On The Walk,” “Yearning,” and “Witchy Lady.” Together, the songs form a narrative arc of metamorphosis, inspired by moments of heartbreak, healing, spiritual awakening, and creative rebirth.

Adding a striking visual dimension to the project is celebrated Los Angeles artist Kelly “RISK” Graval, whose collaboration on the EP artwork helped bring its themes of transformation to life. Widely recognized as one of the pioneers of the West Coast graffiti movement and a major force in contemporary urban art, RISK’s iconic butterfly imagery appears prominently throughout the cover art, symbolizing growth, reinvention, and creative liberation.
Produced by Mario Fanizzi and Executive Produced by Donald Johnson, Butterfly showcases Healey’s evolution as a songwriter and artist, embracing a sound that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
