Intermountain Health Bear River Valley Hospital expands to help northern Utah patients access care available in their community

Tremonton, UT (PRUnderground) July 10th, 2026

Community members Tremonton, Utah, now have new services available to them at Intermountain Health Bear River Valley Hospital, including a new gastrointestinal lab and procedure rooms, wound care clinic, infusion therapy space, and expansion of space for outpatient services.

The new gastrointestinal lab and procedure rooms for colonoscopy and other gastrointestinal lab procedures will now enable area residents to receive care close to home. Until now, patients often had to travel to hospitals further away for their care.

The upgrade also includes new space for enhanced wound care and infusion therapy services.

The project reflects the hospital’s ongoing commitment to meet the growing healthcare needs of local communities, according to Brandon Vonk, president of Intermountain Bear River Valley Hospital.

“Over the past several years, we’ve seen continued growth in the need for specialty outpatient services across our community,” said Brandon Vonk, president of Intermountain Bear River Valley Hospital. “This expansion helps us better meet those needs by increasing access to care and ensuring more patients can receive high-quality services close to home.”

Intermountain Bear River Valley Hospital, which is located at the crossroads of two major interstate highways, is a critical access hospital and serves as a vital care site for residents in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho.

By offering a wider range of specialized care it can be easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle when travel is a reduced factor, said Vonk.

“We’re thrilled to be able to add these services for our community and patients” he said.
