Healthcare operations and finance leader to scale physician-led outpatient wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy across Greater San Antonio
-- Hill Country Wound Care & Hyperbarics, San Antonio’s largest private network of advanced wound care and hyperbarics, announced today that Joseph DiRenzo has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, further strengthening the organization’s leadership as it expands access to advanced, physician-led wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for patients across the Greater San Antonio area.
DiRenzo has served as an Operating Partner at Hill Country Wound Care & Hyperbarics since February 2025, helping guide operational strategy and supporting the clinic’s continued focus on patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and a healing experience that feels clear, calm, and supportive, especially for patients navigating chronic or complex wounds.
In his new role as CEO, DiRenzo will lead day-to-day operations and growth strategy, supporting Hill Country’s physician-led care teams with the systems, staffing, and operational infrastructure needed to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes. His focus will include strengthening the patient experience, expanding access to care, and reinforcing trusted partnerships with referring providers throughout the region.

DiRenzo brings significant executive experience across multi-site healthcare organizations, including outpatient services and high-growth operational leadership. Most recently, he served as President & Chief Operating Officer of the largest private wound care and hyperbaric network in the state of Texas, leading clinics across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Houston, and San Antonio, where he expanded access to advanced therapeutics and emphasized specialty care awareness in the communities and patient education to have a positive impact on healing rates.
Previously, DiRenzo served as Chief Financial Officer at HearingLife and PHOENIX Rehabilitation and Health Services, both of which experienced record growth during his tenure. HearingLife, a national audiology network based in the New York City Metropolitan area, experienced heavy acquisition activity, growing to 650 locations, and PHEONIX Rehabilitation, based in the Greater Pittsburgh Region, consistently opened new clinics, rising to over 100 locations, to expand access to Physical Therapy across the East Coast.
Earlier in his career, DiRenzo spent over a decade at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where he began his career in corporate finance and gravitated towards his passion to support complex healthcare operations when working in the hospital systems' quaternary urban campuses and advancing through finance and administration leadership roles, including Regional Director of Finance for its Community Hospitals.

DiRenzo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Penn State University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business. He is also a Six Sigma Green Belt Certified professional, bringing a process-improvement mindset that supports quality, safety, and operational consistency, without losing the human side of care.
