Expanding life-saving veterinary care in Northeast Florida

Animal Emergency Hospital Palm Coast officially celebrated the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art veterinary facility at 124 Flagler Plaza Dr. with a vibrant post-construction open house event on June 4th. The celebration marked a major milestone for the team, who dedicated the last 18 months to serving local pets out of a temporary mobile truck stationed at the site.

The event welcomed an enthusiastic crowd of local primary care veterinarians, friends, family, and community members. Notable local dignitaries, including the Palm Coast Mayor, Police Chief, and K9 Chief, also attended to honor the hospital’s permanent addition to the region's emergency infrastructure.

The afternoon celebrated the unwavering commitment of owner and Medical Director Diane Johnson, DVM, to providing dedicated emergency care to the animals and families of North Central Florida. As the third practice in Dr. Johnson’s privately-owned network of emergency hospitals, the Palm Coast facility bridges a vital gap in regional veterinary medicine.

"Operating out of the mobile truck for the last year and a half proved just how deeply Palm Coast needed accessible, immediate emergency care," said Dr. Johnson. "Opening these permanent doors is a testament to our team’s resilience and our enduring promise to support local pet owners and referring primary care veterinarians when they need us most."

The brand-new, modern hospital is fully equipped with advanced diagnostics, digital imaging, and emergency surgical suites. Staffed by a highly experienced team of emergency veterinarians, technicians, and client service representatives, the hospital is built to handle everything from mild, urgent illnesses to complex, life-threatening trauma.

Animal Emergency Hospital Palm Coast is now fully operational, providing the community with a seamless, advanced safety net during nights, weekends, and holidays. The hours of operation are Mon-Thu from 5pm – 8am, and then reopening on Friday at 5pm to provide 24/7 coverage through Saturday and Sunday.
