“We are thrilled to welcome Liz to the Board of Directors. She is a transformational leader whose career includes guiding strategic growth, operational transformation, and innovation across one of the country’s leading workers’ compensation organizations. Her expertise will be a valuable addition as we continue to deepen Prescient’s footprint nationally,” said Kristin W. Wall, Board Chair of Prescient National and President and CEO of LWCC.

Haar began her career in insurance as an actuary, first with Michigan Millers Mutual and Citizens Insurance before joining AF Group as Chief Actuary in 1997. She was named President and CEO of AF Group in 2005 and went on to lead the acquisition and creation of several successful companies under its umbrella, including United Heartland, Third Coast Underwriters, and CompWest. Haar served as President of Emergent Holdings until her retirement in 2021, a role in which she oversaw the diversified holdings of the enterprise, including AF Group, during its expansion from a work comp carrier to a multi-line carrier.

Credited with an entrepreneurial approach and a strong commitment to stakeholder and employee experience, Haar’s leadership has been recognized through multiple awards, including being named to Women to Watch by Business Insurance, 100 Most Influential Women by Crain’s Business, and Tech Savvy CEO by Insurance and Technology. Notably, companies under her leadership have been recognized in Ward’s 50 and consistently in Best Places to Work rankings.

Haar has served on a variety of industry and civic boards and advisory committees, including with the American Insurance Association, NCCI, the Griffith Foundation, and the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. She currently serves on the boards of NeuroKinetic Medical, Arabian Horse Association, and Zenjuries.

“I am excited to join Prescient National’s Board at such a pivotal time for the company,” said Haar. “Their incredible track record of industry-leading claims outcomes, strong financial performance, and commitment to a high-touch approach is a foundation for growth that I look forward to being part of.”
