AIHA Appoints Olena Bulgakova to Executive Director of AIHA Laboratory Accreditation Programs, LLC

The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) has announced Olena Bulgakova as the new Executive Director of AIHA Laboratory Accreditation Programs, LLC (LAP). In this new capacity, Bulgakova is responsible for overseeing all AIHA LAP conformity assessment programs.

Before her promotion to Executive Director, Bulgakova served as Senior Manager and then Director of LAP from 2019-2026. Over the past seven years at LAP Bulgakova managed operations, accreditation coordination, international standards compliance, accreditation policies, budgets, site assessor training and management, and beyond.

Prior to those positions, Bulgakova worked in additional roles at LAP and AIHA since 2008. Before joining AIHA, Bulgakova worked as an Assistant Engineering Scientist at RJ Lee Group.

Bulgakova has certifications, licenses, and specialized training in PLM Asbestos Analysis, Sampling and Evaluating Airborne Asbestos Dust by PCM, TEM Asbestos Analysis, GLP, ISO/IEC 17025, and ISO/IEC 17011.
