Applejack Wine & Spirits, a beloved Colorado institution for over 63 years, announced today that its CEO, Jim Shpall, has been awarded one of the most coveted and prestigious retail awards in the country, national “2024 Retailer of the Year” by Market Watch, the leading industry publication.

With retail stores located in Wheat Ridge, Thornton and Colorado Springs, Applejack Wine & Spirits’ CEO was recognized as the Retailer of the Year for ensuring that its modern stores provide consumers with the wide and varied product selection that has been synonymous with the Applejack Wine & Spirits brand for decades.

The original Wheat Ridge location underwent a major overhaul and renovation in the early 2000s and again in 2022, and it has since been joined by new locations in Thornton and Colorado Springs, which opened in 2020 and 2022, respectively. The three stores boast roughly 20,000 square feet of retail space each and stock anywhere from 13,800 to 19,000 SKUs.
