Transmit Security Appoints Industry Veteran Meron Behar as Chief Information Security Officer

With more than two decades of industry experience, Meron Behar will be responsible for expanding the company’s security organization, as well as implementing a framework to manage security risks at a time when cyber attacks are at an all-time high

Transmit Security, the Identity Experience™ company, today announced it has named Meron Behar as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Meron will be integral to Transmit Security’s growth initiatives, helping to further the company’s position as a leader in the identity and access management space. He will be responsible for expanding the company’s security organization and creating a framework for managing risks; protecting customer data and customer-facing services; and aligning the company’s processes and services with compliance and regulatory requirements.

“The only way we will be able to help prevent security breaches from paralyzing businesses around the world is to create solutions that can identify small risks before they become catastrophic attacks. Meron brings more than two decades of experience building solutions and leading security teams, and we are thrilled to have him join our executive team,” said Mickey Boodaei, CEO and Co-Founder, Transmit Security. “With security risks at record highs, organizations are faced with the unknown consequences and outcomes of breaches and attacks costing them not only time, but potentially millions of dollars. One cannot escape the frequency of these attacks - just look at our news feeds and the constant stream of headlines announcing major security breaches and data leaks. Tapping Meron’s deep expertise of building integrated, layered security infrastructure and solutions enables us to best arm and protect our number one priority, our customers.”

Meron will be based in Transmit Security’s Tel Aviv office and responsible for building out the company’s full information and security business unit, as well as designing its security programs. As a veteran security professional he has established multiple product security teams and led security programs as a CISO for both insurance and investment firms, most recently as the Deputy CISO at Nuvei, a fintech payment processor.

“Businesses are facing innumerable security challenges due to the rapidly evolving and ever-changing landscape of security threats. Organizations must be hyper-vigilant in their security measures, monitoring attack vectors while proactively responding to dynamic shifts in consumer behaviors and trends,” said Behar. “It is the CISO’s role to build a security program that encompasses all of these business needs, creating secure systems across the entire business organization. I am excited to be part of an organization that is meeting these challenges head on.”
