Hunters Run Country Club Adds 8 New Pickleball Courts

Pro Players Hold Exhibition As Part Of Inauguration Ceremonies

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - March 17, 2022 - PRLog -- Responding to the ever-increasing popularity of pickleball, Hunters Run Country Club President, Michael Rappaport and Director of Racquet Sports, Mali Hall, cut the ribbon that officially added eight more USAPA pickleball courts. This brings the total number of the Club's courts to 12.

Immediately following the grand opening ceremony, four pro pickleball athletes initiated the new courts by playing an exhibition for the members of the Hunters Run community.  The players included:
●      Adam Stone -- Among the Top 10 (2020) Players in Singles and Doubles. 2021 US Open silver medalist. 2021 PPA Vegas year-end championship gold medal
●      Nathalie Bagby -- Professional French tennis player 1982 -1995 who started playing pickleball in September 2021 and played her 1st Senior Pro tournaments in June 2021. Number 4 World ranking in Senior Pro Women's doubles. Now a Team Paddletek player
●      Eric Ah-Yuen -- President and owner of Pickleball Athletics Club in West Palm Beach. Certified IPTPA Teaching Pro and Rating specialist. Currently is a High-Performance Coach for PRO athletes in Jupiter, Florida and a Team Paddletek Player
●      Salome Devidze -- Ranked 254 WTA Tennis player. The youngest player in tennis history to win a Federation Cup Match.  She is now a pickleball player.

According to Larry Savvides, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Hunters Run, "We are all witnessing the explosion of pickleball's popularity. And, we have responded to members' requests for additional courts. We now have enough courts to satisfy the growing demand of our membership. I would like to thank our Racquet Sports Director, Mali Hall, for her dedication to this project and for designing a first-class pickleball program for players of all levels from advanced to novice."

Under the guidance of Mali Hall, a "Pickleball Pool," which is similar to the Club's Tennis Pool, has been implemented to organize games that ensure members play with other members at a similar skill level.  Members can be rated during clinics and private lessons offered by Hunters Run's Racquet Sports professionals ensuring everyone gets the most out of their pool games.

There are currently more than 250 active pickleball players at Hunters Run. This year, Hunters Run members will compete in at least four different leagues against other clubs. Hunters Run pickleball championships include the 2018 Palm Beach County Pickleball League #1 Champs, the 2019 South Florida Pickleball League Open- Champions, and the 2019 Palm Beach County Pickleball League Division 1 Champions.

In addition to the 12 pickleball courts, Hunters Run also houses 18 HAR-TRU tennis courts and three championship golf courses.

A luxury country club community with 1,649 residences in 23 communities, Hunters Run is located on 990 beautifully landscaped acres in east Boynton Beach, bordering Delray Beach.
