BIG INDIAN, N.Y. - Music Masters Collective returns to Full Moon Resort from September 22-25, 2026, for the latest edition of the "Songwriting is Magic" retreat. This four-day immersive residency offers a non-competitive environment in the heart of the Catskill Mountains for songwriters of all levels to explore their creative process alongside a faculty of professional artists.
The retreat provides a "Beyond Backstage" experience where the traditional barrier between the stage and the audience is removed. A unique highlight of the program is the opportunity for direct, real-time interaction; through the “What’s Great / What If” workshops, select participants perform their original work for the artist faculty, receiving immediate feedback and creative guidance. This rare level of access allows attendees to step inside the music, gaining personal insights into the storytelling and technical craft that bring a song to life.

- Josh Ritter: A renowned singer-songwriter and New York Times best-selling author known for his narrative songwriting.
- Amanda Shires: A Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and violinist, and a member of the country supergroup The Highwomen.
- Aaron Lee Tasjan: An acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his unique blend of indie-folk, rock, and roll.
The Venue Experience
Located one half hour west of Woodstock, New York, Full Moon Resort is a year-round facility situated on 100 acres in the Forest Preserve of the Catskill Mountains.
