Dr LUK Wang Kwong, John of Hong Kong, obtained a total of 12 master’s degrees and 4 doctoral degrees between 1966 and 2024, for a total of 16 master’s and doctoral degrees. This achievement set a World Record Association world record for ”The Person with the Most Master’s and Doctoral Degrees”.

On June 11, 2026, Dr LUK obtained another Doctoral Degree in Education from the Central China Normal University, i.e. a total of 12 master’s degrees and 5 doctoral degrees between 1966 and 2026, for a total of 17master’s and doctoral degrees.

Dr LUK was also conferred an Honorary Fellowship in 2016 at the Hong Kong School of Professional and Continuing Education with the following citation.

Dr Luk follows the ancient Chinese teachings of: 易經:”天行健, 君子自强不息”; 論語, 子曰:” 修身, 齊家, 治國, 平天下.”: The Book of Changes says, “As heaven’s movement is ever vigorous, so should a gentleman constantly strive for self-improvement.” The Analects says, “The Master said, ‘Cultivate oneself, regulate one’s family, govern the state, and bring peace to the world.'”
He also believes in the modern education approach of: “STEAM “ – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Management.
