Appointments add dedicated leadership across operations, underwriting and reinsurance

Everspan Group (“Everspan”), a specialty property and casualty insurance platform and wholly owned subsidiary of Octave Specialty Group, Inc. (NYSE: OSG), today announced three senior appointments to support the company’s continued growth. David A. Kenyon joined Everspan as Head of Reinsurance on July 31. Bevan Greibesland will join as Chief Underwriting Officer on August 10, followed by Forest Clay Stewart as Chief Operating Officer on August 17. All three will report to Darwin Lucas, President of Everspan Group.

The appointments establish dedicated leadership for Everspan’s underwriting and reinsurance functions, which were previously overseen as a combined role, and strengthen the company’s leadership structure to support its expansion plans.

Kenyon brings more than 25 years of insurance and reinsurance experience. Most recently, he led reinsurance placement and operations for Zurich North America. He previously held senior positions at Swiss Reinsurance America, GE Global Insurance and Kemper National Insurance Company. Kenyon will be based in Chicago.

Greibesland has more than 20 years of insurance experience spanning program business, delegated authority, and specialty underwriting. She joins Everspan from HDI Global, where she led the company’s U.S. delegated authority and specialty businesses. She previously served as Chief Underwriting Officer of Blitz Insurance and held senior underwriting roles at Global Indemnity and Nationwide. Greibesland will be based in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Stewart brings 20 years of experience in operations, business transformation, and technology across the insurance and financial services industries. He joins Everspan from Chubb, where he served as Vice President, Target Operating Model Leader and Principal Product Owner. He previously held roles at Deloitte and SEI. Stewart will be based in New York and Philadelphia.
