Dave Chappelle Coming to Hall of Fame Village August 7th

Event to take place on Sunday, August 7th at 8 p.m. ET at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium

Hall of Fame Village today announced stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle will be coming to Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio on Sunday, August 7th. Tickets go on Sale on Monday, June 13th at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at www.hofvillage.com. The show will start at 8 p.m. ET.

“We are excited to bring wildly popular entertainer Dave Chappelle to the Hall of Fame Village,” said Michael Crawford, President and CEO of Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company, the owner of the Hall of Fame Village. “Our game plan for the Stadium has always been to be a venue for diverse “A-list” talent and entertainment that appeals to a wide variety of audiences. This is a significant step forward toward strengthening our already compelling slate of sport and non-sporting events at our destination. These events, coupled with the other new, fun and engaging attractions and events being added to our campus meaningfully augment our revenue streams alongside our gaming and media divisions.”

Chappelle, who spent much of his childhood in Yellow Springs, Ohio, is recognized as one of the greatest comedians of all time, Chappelle was awarded the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2019. Chappelle’s work in stand-up comedy, writing, producing and acting has earned him more than 30 nominations and awards in television and film for projects that include his groundbreaking sketch comedy television series, Chappelle’s Show, guest appearances on Saturday Night Live and his 4x Emmy Award-winning comedy specials. In audio content, Chappelle has won the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album three years in a row, 2018 through 2020. In 2017, Netflix cited Dave Chappelle: Collection 1 as the most-viewed comedy special ever on their network.
