SYDNEY - May 18, 2026 - PRLog -- NaturismRE today announces the release of the NaturismRE Nudism & Naturism Encyclopedia, a structured, multidisciplinary reference designed to move beyond traditional descriptive approaches and offer a framework for understanding how naturism functions within modern society.
Developed through an international collaborative effort, the encyclopedia is now freely accessible online via the NaturismRE website.
Unlike conventional encyclopedias that focus on defining concepts and presenting information in isolation, the NaturismRE Encyclopedia is organised as a coherent system of knowledge, connecting themes across public health, psychology, sociology, environmental interaction, and policy considerations.
"This work was designed not simply to describe naturism, but to organise and contextualise it within broader human, environmental, and societal systems," said Vincent Marty, Founder of NaturismRE.
The encyclopedia introduces a multi-level structure, allowing users to engage with content at different depths:
- A rapid reference layer for quick understanding
- A deeper analytical layer for expanded insight and application
This approach aims to make the content accessible to a wide audience while supporting more detailed exploration for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners.
The publication also reflects NaturismRE's broader objective of contributing to evidence-informed discussions around non-sexual nudity, wellbeing, and the relationship between individuals, environments, and social norms.
In addition to its structured format, the encyclopedia:
- Is available from launch in English and French
- Will progressively expand to additional languages in digital format
- Offers hard copy editions based on expressions of interest
The release comes at a time when discussions around body image, mental wellbeing, environmental connection, and social norms are increasingly intersecting. NaturismRE positions the encyclopedia as a neutral, structured contribution to these conversations.
"The aim is not to advocate, but to provide a structured interpretation of observable realities, allowing individuals and institutions to engage with the subject in a more informed and consistent way," Marty added.
