Clari + Salesloft Appoints Peter Liebert as CISO to Anchor Global Security for its Predictive Revenue System

Former State of California cybersecurity chief brings 26 years of experience to advance customer trust and enterprise security

The newly combined company of Clari + Salesloft, the leader in the Predictive Revenue System category, today announced the appointment of Peter Liebert as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Liebert will report directly to CEO Steve Cox and lead a unified security strategy, integrating security programs, governance, and operations across the combined company.

The appointment reinforces the company's commitment to security as a CEO-level priority and a foundational component of customer trust. As Clari and Salesloft continue to integrate following the closing of their merger in December 2025, the addition of a dedicated CISO reflects the scale and responsibility of supporting thousands of organizations worldwide.

“Peter brings exactly the depth of experience and caliber of leadership that a company at our stage and scale demands,” said Steve Cox, CEO of Clari + Salesloft. “His experience in both the government and private sectors positions us to establish a gold-standard security program that ensures data integrity and earns the unwavering trust of our customers.”

Security Leadership at Enterprise Scale

Liebert is an experienced CISO with 26 years of experience, including 15 years focused specifically on cybersecurity. His career spans SaaS unicorns, Fortune 500 companies, federal defense agencies, and state government, where he has led large-scale security transformations across complex, highly regulated environments.

Most recently, he served as Vice President of Cybersecurity at Vista Equity Partners, jointly overseeing cyber risk across approximately $100 billion in SaaS assets. Prior to that, he served as CISO for the State of California, one of the most complex security environments in the country, with oversight spanning critical infrastructure, sensitive citizen data, and layered regulatory requirements. He is also a recipient of the RSA Conference CSO of the Year award.

"What drew me to this role is the opportunity to shape security at a pivotal moment for the combined company,” said Liebert. “Bringing together two mature organizations creates the opportunity to build a unified program with one team and one shared security vision. Clari and Salesloft serve thousands of organizations that rely on mission-critical data to run their revenue operations. My focus is on building a program customers can rely on. One grounded in transparency, partnership, and continuous improvement."

Security as a Strategic Investment

As Clari + Salesloft scales its AI-driven Predictive Revenue System, executive-level security leadership becomes foundational to long-term growth. Establishing a dedicated CISO role that reports directly to the CEO formalizes unified governance across the combined platform, strengthens enterprise risk oversight, and ensures security remains an executive and board-visible priority as the company enters its next phase of scale.
