UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / April 2, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who honors Michael Arulfo as a leader in enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) and enterprise architecture. As this highly disruptive technology makes waves in his industry, Mr. Arulfo works with data scientists and AI engineers to navigate its impact and build the infrastructure needed for greater efficiency and impact. Seeing AI reshape business landscapes firsthand, he stands at the forefront of that change.

An Early Career in Health Care
Mr. Arulfo began his career working on early versions of 3M.com, which proved a significant milestone. He later worked for a Minneapolis startup, which led to a consulting career and introductions to the health care industry. At this point, Mr. Arulfo collaborated with organizations such as the Mayo Clinic and served as an enterprise architect for UnitedHealthcare and as the chief architect to the chief technology officer of Optum Everycare (in OptumHealth).
Transitioning from this phase of his career, Mr. Arulfo joined Boston Scientific as a principal enterprise architect and as co-chair of the company's generative AI tiger team. At Boston Scientific, the world's second-largest medical device manufacturer, he applied his expertise in health care systems while also developing his growing interest in GenAI. Additionally, he served as the principal enterprise architect in the Office of the Chief Information Officer at Boston Scientific between 2023 and 2025. More recently, Mr. Arulfo accepted the role of chief AI officer and field chief technology officer at Cadre.
Contributions in AI Technology
At Cadre, Mr. Arulfo is responsible for developing the company's AI enterprise strategy and architecture. More specifically, he is building a framework for AI applications in mental health care, as Cadre is a peer-to-peer social platform in this field. In a crowded mental health tech space, the introduction of AI technology could help the platform better cater to individuals not in crisis, but who are experiencing stress, emotional overload or low motivation.
Working toward this goal, Mr. Arulfo is designing the architecture necessary to incorporate AI technology that connects users to trusted professional coaches and vetted peer coaches on the Cadre social platform. With Cadre, users get matched with vetted, trained peer coaches-people with lived experience they can trust. In building this social platform, he aligns the AI architecture more closely with the organization's engagement strategy.
Recognition for His Contributions
For his contributions to the field, Mr. Arulfo has been acknowledged by colleagues and leadership alike. On one occasion, his chief executive officer told him that he excelled at learning from others and that his voice was confident in every interaction. In his work, he demonstrates the ability to strike a balance between artificial intelligence and the human connection.
Perspectives such as these have led Mr. Arulfo to receive numerous awards and accolades. Most recently, he was awarded the Bravo! Leadership Award, UHC from the Enterprise Architecture Team in 2022, the Bravo! Relationship Award from the OptumHealth Enterprise Architect Team in 2023 and the CEO Winning Spirit Award from Boston Scientific in 2024. Most recently, Mr. Arulfo was nominated for a 2026 Minnesota ORBIE Award from the Inspire Leadership Network.
Ambition for the Future
Moving forward, Mr. Arulfo aims to assume the roles of chief technology officer and chief AI officer within a health care organization. He feels that a position like this would allow him to have a more significant impact on others, and he is open to any opportunity that comes his way. Ultimately, he is prepared to take on new responsibilities and improve current systems and solutions in health care.
