Citrus America Demonstrates Game-Changing Innovation, Boosting Efficiency, Safety, and Profitability for Latin Food Service and Grocery Industry at Antojo Trade Expo with Citrocasa and SupraCut Machines

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / October 21, 2024 / Citrus America, North America's leader in premium commercial juicing solutions, recently made a strong impact at the Antojo Industry Trade Expo, the largest business growth event for the Latin food service and retail industry, held at the Long Beach Convention Center, October 13-14, 2024.

At the 2nd Annual Antojo Industry Trade Expo, Citrus America was surrounded by specialty items targeted at the Latin and Mexican restaurant and grocery segment, including spices, tequila and mezcal, and many different types of tortillas and sauces. They were also joined by a wide range of participants, including Latin grocery stores, Mexican restaurants, personal chefs and caterers, street vendors, food and beverage distributors, and others eager to discover the latest products and innovations.

Citrus America continues to be one such major innovator in the market, committed to diligently finding new solutions to make the lives of bartenders and mixologists a lot easier and safer.

In addition to offering freshly squeezed orange and lime juice samples for attendees, at the heart of its presence was the company's demonstration of their newest capabilities, including its SupraCut lemon and lime wedger, with its courtesy slice technology. The new machine can quickly section lemons and limes for bar service, seafood, garniture, and many other applications, enabling thousands of bartenders, mixologists, and restaurant staff to do their jobs quicker, more efficiently, and hygienically and safely, in high-traffic environments.

"We have had so many conversations with bartenders and restaurant employees, who have confirmed that manually squeezing and/or wedging hundreds, or even thousands, of limes in a restaurant takes a long time, is hugely inefficient, and starts to wear on employees' wrists and elbows," says Citrus America's founder and President Brian Framson.

Kevin Szakacs, founder and co-inventor of the SupraCut technology, said "Experiencing the fast efficiency of a Citrocasa juicer and a SupraCut wedger blew them away with the labor-saving efficiency. We developed the SupraCut wedger to address huge efficiency concerns. The SupraCut also helps deliver consistent cuts while reducing workers comp claims."

Mark Ferguson, of Royal Bartending, and a bartender trainer for many years, confirms that safety in the industry is a huge issue. "There are a lot of great, simple things we can train bartenders on that can reduce injuries: like holding and pouring from the bottle, which many bartenders do incorrectly," says Ferguson. Citrus America will continue to work with the industry to try to bring in tools and know-how to improve employee safety and job satisfaction.

Citrus America participated in the event alongside their partner, PHT Systems, a Yorba Linda, CA-based company specializing in high-quality cooking, frying, and ice cream equipment. PHT Systems also sells Citrocasa juicers as part of its product lineup, offering installation, employee training, and after-sales service for all equipment.

"A fresh meal at a high-quality restaurant starts with a fresh cocktail or beverage, and using freshly squeezed and cut fruits is the best way to ensure quality the customer can experience," says Frank Liddi, General Manager at PHT's California operation. "Our training and products offer restaurants and bars a way to improve their service while maintaining the high standards their customers expect."

Citrus America also caught the attention of grocery store representatives, especially those focused on serving the Latin market. Freshness is a critical factor for these retailers, and Citrus America's commercial citrus juicers provide a key advantage. Juicing a few fruits per day is easy, but juicing hundreds of fruits is more difficult and equipment reliability is a huge issue.

Since 2010, the company has been supplying grocery stores across the U.S. and Canada with equipment designed to deliver fresh orange juice and lime juice, helping retailers enhance their in-store offerings and overall customer experience.

As Citrus America continues to expand its footprint in the Latin food sector, the Antojo Expo proved to be an ideal platform to showcase its latest innovations and reaffirm its commitment to providing the freshest, most efficient juicing solutions available.
