Shares of cruise vacation company Royal Caribbean (NYSE: RCL) jumped 6.6% in the morning session after the company reported third-quarter financial results that topped company guidance and raised its full-year earnings outlook.
According to a company press release, Royal Caribbean reported third-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $6.57 vs S&P analysts’ estimates of $6.38 (3% beat), driven by strong close-in demand and expense timing benefits. Sales clocked in at $5.59 billion vs S&P analysts’ estimates of $5.61 billion (8.8% year-on-year growth, in line). The cruise operator also lifted its full-year adjusted earnings guidance to a range of $17.85 to $17.95 per share.
Full-year revenue was projected to increase 9% compared to the previous year following outperformance in profits and net yields. The raised financial targets and strong bookings suggested durable consumer appetite for leisure travel, easing market concerns about potential spending pullbacks.

What is the market telling us
Royal Caribbean’s shares are quite volatile and have had 18 moves greater than 5% over the last year. In that context, today’s move indicates the market considers this news meaningful but not something that would fundamentally change its perception of the business.
Royal Caribbean is up 5.7% since the beginning of the year, but at $299.48 per share, it is still trading 13.9% below its 52-week high of $348.03 from February 2026. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of Royal Caribbean’s shares 5 years ago would now be looking at an investment worth $3,587.
