According to the agreement, Brighthouse Financial was expected to operate as a standalone entity within Aquarian Capital's portfolio, keeping its current leadership and headquarters. Following the news of the acquisition, Brighthouse canceled its previously scheduled conference call that was meant to discuss its third-quarter financial results.
