ANCHORAGE, Alaska - May 28, 2026 - PRLog -- Noah Coughlan completed his fifth transcontinental ocean to ocean Run across the Continental United States at the Pacific Ocean in Newport, Oregon, the 48th and final U.S. State of the lower continental United States leaving only Alaska (49) and Hawaii (50) as the remaining two States.
Coughlan has previously completed four previous Ocean to Ocean solo treks in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2023. Noah also ran across Ireland in 2020. Coughlan is currently driving with a support team to Alaska to begin the Alaska leg in early June.
The Alaska route will start at the Canadian border near Little Gold and proceed through Chicken, Tok, and Glennallen toward Anchorage and the Gulf of Alaska.
The mission of the '2026 Run for America : A Tribute to the American People' is to engage big cities and small towns honoring everyday Americans and veterans, encouraging unity while highlighting the enduring spirit of our Nation through media and storytelling for a renewed appreciation for America's shared history.
From Maine to New York to Montana to Oregon, the People have responded overwhelmingly with enthusiastic welcomes, significant media coverage, dozens of police and fire department escorts, and millions of social media views.
Across the final 14 States, Noah has remained determined and resolute through injuries, weight loss, and many weather conditions including the bitter cold, snow and wind of the Northeast and Midwest, and rain and heat in the Northwest.
Noah runs solo, pushing a jogging stroller with supplies with an 8 foot pole and large American Flag which was flown by the United States Air Force, 70th Air Refueling Squadron on a KC-46 Pegasus on a mission in October 2025.
The 2026 Run For America will culminate after 15 years and 50 States on July 4th, 2026 in Honolulu, Hawaii to celebrate the United States' 250th Semiquincentennial anniversary.
