Tashkent, Uzbekistan – September 30 – The Press Secretary to the President of Uzbekistan, Mr. Sherzod Asadov, announced today that Mr. Komil Allamjonov has officially stepped down from his role as Head of the Department of Information Policy in the Presidential Administration. Mr. Allamjonov’s departure marks the conclusion of a highly impactful period of public service, during which he played a pivotal role in modernizing Uzbekistan’s media landscape and advancing key state reforms.
Appointed by President Mirziyoyev in August 2023, following his return to government service in July 2022, Mr. Allamjonov has been instrumental in improving the quality and productivity of the President’s press service, introducing groundbreaking initiatives in media transparency, and leading reforms within the Administration to enhance efficiency, adaptability, and responsiveness to both domestic and international challenges.
