An exciting first season of the Iggy Dance and DJ challenge just came to a memorable conclusion. 1ATH.Studio gathered IggyBoy NFT holders, fans, and entertainers in a live event where the holders and enthusiastic entertainers on the IggyBoy Metaverse (beginners or pros) competed to either dance or DJ to the audience’s thrill and receive mouth-watering prizes.
Let’s take a look at how the challenge started, the voting stages, and the rewards for the winners in both categories.
Challenge Rewards and Voting Stages
Iggy dance and DJ challenge started on June 22, 2022, and ended on July 11, 2022. The challenge was split into two categories: Dancers and DJs. It was pretty much straightforward; the dancers were required to make a dance video based on IggyBoy’s Soundtrack, while the DJs were required to make a remix of this soundtrack.
For participants in the dance group, the first position gets $5,000. In addition, 1ATH.Studio rewards them with $30,000 in the marketing budget. Second place dancers will get $2,000, and third place dancers will get $1,000. The challenge also offered compensation packages for participants who were ranked between fourth place and tenth place.
In the DJ category, the first-place rewards are $2,000 cash price and $30,000 in marketing budget to promote their brand and the studio’s NFTs. The runner-up DJ gets a reward of $500, the third DJ, $300, and the fourth DJ goes home with $200.
The Iggy dance and DJ challenge came with three interesting voting stages. Each stage kept providing more fledging entertainment to the thrill of everyone in attendance.
Voting Stage 1 (June 22 – June 29, 2022): The challenge kickstarted with an exciting buzz on social media with the first voting stage, where the audience voted for their favorite dancer or DJ. Based on social media engagement, the top 10 dancers and top 4 DJs were selected to participate in the next round.
Voting Stage 2 (June 29 to July 02, 2022): The next round for these fourteen finalists were ranked by IggyBoy NFT holders. The holders had exclusive voting rights by voting two participants (two from each category) who would challenge for the pool prize rewards in the Grand Prix Finals.
Voting Stage 3 (July 06 to July 11, 2022): The finalists were to prepare a dance video using the top two DJ finalists’ tracks to participate in this final stage. Via social media popularity, IggyBoy community members voted for their favorite dance groups and DJ as the Grand Prix winners.
And The Winners Are…
In the IggyBoy dance challenge, the winner of $5,000 plus a marketing budget of $30,000 was a Georgia-based dance group, Mess dance studio. This group is known for performing dances in different genres like jazz, dancehall, and hip-hop styles.
Nero dance center came second with a total of 163 votes and a $2,000 prize. This Baku-based dancing group specializes in different dances, including jazz funk, Zumba, and belly dancing.
With a prize of $1,000 and 119 votes, the Hamutsun dance group bagged the third position. This Japan-based group has quite a reputation in Japan, where they perform animation dance on TV in Japan. More so, in 2008, this group collaborated with pop star Madonna during her “Sticky and Sweet” tour. The top ten dance groups can be found here.
For the DJ challenge, the winner of $2,000 plus $30,000 with 96 votes was Charlie Atom. Charlie Atom is a Mexican-based DJ with over five million Spotify streams. Zinnat came second with 89 votes and a prize of $500. He has been in the music scene for more than 16 years. His top music collaborations include making songs and beats for artists like Eminem’s band, D12 Bizarre, Fly Boy Keno, and many more.
