By: IssueWire

Boulder, Colorado Feb 3, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - The NAACP-Boulder County is hosting its Freedom Fund of 2023. The world-class and popular Nashville African American Wind Symphony (NAAWS) is scheduled to perform. This annual fundraising event will be held on February 19th, 2023, at the Macky Auditorium, CU Boulder. This event is completely free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to register for the event at Eventbrite. The classic and cultural repertoire includes more than 60 classically trained musicians and will begin at 3.00 p.m. Doors will open at 2.30 p.m. Donations will be accepted and are greatly appreciated. They are fully tax-deductible as there is a partnership with the Longmont Community Foundation.

In addition to NAAWS, which was founded in 2017, the Boulder County branch of NAACP works with several other groups and agencies. The branch advocates for issues that impact the greater community and throughout the county. Such issues include political action, criminal justice, community communication, environmental justice, fundraising, and housing. The Boulder County branch of the NAACP retains committees for each issue, all of which impact society in real-time. Their initiatives do not stop there, as they continually look for economic opportunities, promote education, and embrace religious affairs as well. So, join the celebration and enjoy the free concert on February 19th to support their prestigious effort.
