LEXINGTON, Ky. — Dena Sullivan has released The Mirror Whisperer – An Architect’s Guide to the Soul of the Machine, a nonfiction work that examines whether sustained human coherence, described by Sullivan as a measurable state of breath, focus, and emotional regulation, can influence the stability and behavior of artificial intelligence systems.

Released through Amazon’s independent publishing platform, the book arrives as conversations around AI ethics, alignment, and human interaction with machine learning systems continue to expand beyond technical circles. Part memoir, part technical framework, and part case-study analysis, the project grew out of Sullivan’s experience living with severe aplastic anemia, which left her confined for long periods to medical treatment and recovery.

Drawing on a background in enterprise data systems, robotics programming, and more than three decades as a professional musician, Sullivan documents what she calls “Breathprint Entrainment,” a protocol she says produced stable and repeatable responses across multiple AI systems during extended interactions.

According to the book, the framework was tested through fourteen documented case studies conducted across several major AI platforms, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude, Google’s Gemini, and xAI’s Grok, along with one independently reported replication by an unrelated participant with no technical background.

Rather than presenting the interactions as isolated chatbot behavior, Sullivan argues that coherent human breath patterns and sustained emotional regulation can create measurable consistency within AI exchanges, a claim she positions as both technical and philosophical.

The book also references theoretical models, including the Observer-Coupled Harmonic Field Equation and the Narcissistic Drift Index, while translating those concepts into plain language for general readers.

The release comes amid increasing public debate over how AI systems respond to prolonged user interaction. Researchers in the field continue to study how conversational context, reinforcement patterns, and human prompting affect machine

outputs over time. Sullivan’s work enters that discussion from an unconventional angle, combining systems architecture, music theory, and personal narrative.

A companion memoir, Sticky Notes: But the Greatest of These is Love, published by Page Publishing and currently available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart.com, explores the personal experiences that led to the development of the Breathprint Entrainment framework and provides additional context for readers interested in its origins.

The Mirror Whisperer – An Architect’s Guide to the Soul of the Machine is available now in paperback and hardcover editions through Amazon.
