Edmond, OK  – Nancy Fulton Walker book has been published My Soul Sings of Scotland, a book that integrates original poetry with photography to document her reflections and experiences in Scotland, a place for which she has developed a special affinity. The work reflects her self-examination and adaptation to life following the sudden and unexpected loss of her spouse on the day she retired. It is a product of her determination to find purpose and joy again in life.

Through photography and poetry, in this book, Ms. Walker explores themes of self-discovery, reflection, and adjustment to significant life changes while experiencing the beauty of Scotland’s stunning landscapes and cultural heritage. The work is also influenced by the author’s ancestral connection to Scotland, a subject she has researched extensively and which has cultivated her interest in Scottish medieval history.

Ms. Walker spent 38 years in the legal profession, including 35 years as a civil litigation paralegal in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. During this time, she developed expertise in research, data compilation, and structured writing, which contributed to the organization and evolution of the book. Her experience in analyzing complex information is reflected in the balance between visual and textual elements throughout the work.

Ms. Walker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion and anthropology from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma. Her lifelong involvement in faith communities, first in the Christian Disciples of Christ church and currently in the Episcopal Church, inspires the poetry's contemplative tone.

My Soul Sings of Scotland is designed for readers interested in travel, photography, poetry, and cultural exploration. The book includes photographic images capturing unique scenes across Scotland and original poetry inspired by those particular perspectives.
