Recognition reflects Populus' approach to reaching patients and providers at the moment care decisions are made

Populus Health Technologies, a virtual care media and technology company, today announced it won two categories at PM360's 18th annual Trailblazer Awards. Populus was named Company of the Year in the Supplier/Vendor category, and Virtual Care in America: The Populus Report won silver in the Self-Promotion/Corporate Campaign category. Winners were announced Sept. 29 at the Trailblazer Awards Gala at Gotham Hall in New York City.

PM360 established the Trailblazer Awards in 2009 to honor companies, marketers, and initiatives that have achieved standout results in the life sciences. Finalists and winners are selected by the PM360 Editorial Advisory Board, and companies are evaluated on achievement in areas including innovation, talent development, and social responsibility.

The Company of the Year win affirms Populus's precision approach to reaching HCPs and patients inside the virtual clinical environment, at the moment care decisions are made.

"Being recognized by PM360 and its Editorial Advisory Board is a proud moment for our team," said Paul Theisen, Co-Founder and CEO at Populus. "It reflects the trust our brand partners have placed in us and the progress we have made in bringing pharma brands closer to patients and providers at the moment care happens."

Virtual Care in America: The Populus Report is original research developed with DHC Group, PM360 and Researchscape International. The report surveyed 1,093 patients, 125 healthcare providers, and 63 pharma marketers in February and March 2026, triangulating insights for the pharma media and marketing communities to examine how each group defines, uses, and values virtual care.

Among the findings, providers report a 66% gain in appointment attendance with virtual care, and 51% of patients say they are focused on their screen before and during a virtual care appointment. The report also found that 81% of pharma marketers increased their virtual care investment in the past year. Meanwhile, 53% of providers find pharma presence in virtual care acceptable or helpful, yet 57% rarely or never encounter pharma brand messaging in virtual care settings. The findings underscore Populus' commitment to improving virtual care for patients, providers, and the brands that support them by giving the industry a clearer picture of where the category stands and where it can go with this new annual franchise.

That commitment is what PM360 recognized with the Self-Promotion/Corporate Campaign award, which honors the report as standout industry research built on original surveys of patients, providers, and pharma marketers.

"Our goal with this report was to level-set the industry on telehealth and virtual care using data from the people who experience it every day," said Andrew Schulman, Vice President of Marketing at Populus. "Patients, providers, and pharma marketers gave us a shared starting point, our partners helped bring it all to life, and this recognition tells us the industry is putting it to use."
