Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jon Chesser, CEP, to a vice president position, overseeing critical service areas within the firm’s practices. Chesser has been named Vice President, Operations, overseeing Environmental and Planning & Mobility.

Jon Chesser is a seasoned environmental program and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) project manager with extensive experience in project delivery. In his former leadership role as Associate Vice President, Environmental National Practice Lead, he managed Wilson & Company’s environmental program and staff firmwide, executing work across the transportation, railroad, and municipal industries for public and private clients. Additionally, he serves as an overall project manager for transportation projects at various stages of planning, design, and construction, leading teams to meet client goals. He is recognized as an excellent leader and communicator, managing staff, schedule, budget, and deliverables for projects of all sizes, including multi-year and multi-million-dollar contracts.

Under Jon Chesser’s leadership, Wilson & Company’s environmental group has experienced remarkable growth over the past five years. From 2020 to date, the team has expanded by 386%, growing from 7 to 34 staff. It has generated more than $5 million in total revenue, reflecting the group’s increasing impact and strategic value within the company.

Chesser’s promotion reflects not only his technical and leadership contributions but also his dedication to strengthening Wilson & Company’s culture. He has been instrumental in advancing the company’s purpose of bringing people together to practice their craft, to create value, and to accomplish great things through a culture of Higher Relationships.
