Medjet Clarifies No Association with Philadelphia Plane Incident

Medjet, a U.S.-based air medical transport and security response membership program, wishes to clarify that it is not affiliated in any way with MED JETS SA, also known as JET RESCUE, a Mexico-based air ambulance operator, which was reportedly involved in the recent aircraft incident in Philadelphia, PA. Medjet does not own, operate, nor have any connection to the aircraft involved.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the families and individuals affected by this tragic event.

ABOUT MEDJET:

Medjet (legal name Medjet Assistance, LLC) was the first company in the U.S. to implement the air-medical transport membership concept for travelers. If a Medjet member is hospitalized while traveling more than 150 miles from home, domestic or international, Medjet arranges and pays for air medical transfer to the member’s hospital of choice in their home country. Since 1991, Medjet has forged a global network of air medical transport and security response providers to meet traveler health and safety needs. At any given time, Medjet has access to hundreds of air ambulances, commercial medical escorts, and highly trained security and crisis response personnel, ready to launch from both domestic and international locations. The company most notably differentiates from other players in the market through its commitment to arrange air medical transfer, regardless of medical necessity, to the member's hospital of choice in their home country. Medjet memberships are available to residents of the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
