LA-based nonprofit Youth Champions is on a mission to impact 10,000 students annually through its paid personal growth internship — a unique, real-world development experience that equips high school students with the tools to think critically, build confidence, and pursue purpose-driven futures.
This year, the organization will host the Youth Champions Springboard Summit 2025, a transformative half-day event designed to empower more than 250 Los Angeles students to envision their next three years through a series of goal-setting activities that will provide clarity, vision, and deliberate intention.
The Springboard Summit brings together students, alumni, mentors, and community leaders for an immersive, workshop-style experience. Participants engage in guided self-reflection, interactive discussions, and creative hands-on exercises that help them define and visualize their goals for the future.
“Youth Champions exists to teach kids how to think, not what to think,” said Jack Cline, Co-Founder and Chair. “Our mission is to cultivate critical thinkers and confident leaders by exposing students to experiences, ideas, and mentors that expand their sense of what’s possible.”

Youth Champions’ paid personal growth internship gives students weekly opportunities to develop confidence, financial literacy, communication skills, and leadership habits through structured workshops, mentorship, and self-discovery exercises — all while earning up to $1,000.
“The magic of this program is watching students discover their own potential,” said Michelle Durand, Executive Director of Youth Champions. “They often begin the year uncertain and shy and end it with confidence, clarity, and a newfound belief in what they can achieve.”
The Springboard Summit 2025 exemplifies Youth Champions’ core mission: to create transformative learning experiences that empower students to embrace a growth mindset, pursue meaningful goals, and become positive forces in their communities.
