Two Weeks Remain to Apply for Building Hope Charter School Impact Awards

Non-Profit to Honor Inspirational Charter School Leaders Who Impact Community Engagement, Educational Innovation, And Student Empowerment With $130,000 In Grants

Inspirational charter school leaders take note: two weeks remain to apply for $130,000 in IMPACT Awards from Building Hope, the non-profit leader in charter school facilities, financing, and services.

The Building Hope IMPACT Grants honor charter schools that make an impact on community engagement, educational innovation, and student empowerment. Building Hope has received interest forms to start the application process from charter schools in 37 states and encourages schools and volunteers to complete the Interest Forms and Nominations prior to March 21. The deadline for full applications is March 27, 2022 at noon EDT.

Building Hope will award one $20,000 grant and two $10,000 grants in each of these categories: community engagement, student empowerment, and educational innovation.

In addition to receiving grant award dollars, charter school finalists will receive an expense-paid trip to Washington D.C. for the Annual Summit & Awards and the preceding National Charter Schools Conference, a conference that brings together the top charter school educators, advocates, and leaders from around the country. The National Alliance has generously donated admission to the conference for the nine finalists, and Building Hope has extended the accommodations to cover the entire experience of learning and growth.

In addition, Building Hope will award $5,000 grants to two individual charter school volunteers through its Shellie-Ann Braswell “Shine Brighter” Award, created and named in honor of a dedicated volunteer leader who led with love and made everything around her shine brighter. This award will recognize volunteers who embody this spirit and make memories for charter school families to cherish. The deadline for volunteer nominations is March 21, 2022.

IMPACT Award winners will be announced during Building Hope’s first annual IMPACT Summit taking place from June 22-24, 2022 in Washington, DC. The IMPACT Summit will gather a cohort of top charter school leaders for a deep-dive masterclass, so they may share their successes, discuss challenges, and inspire each other to increase their impact.
