From Academic to Expert
Pivotal to Mr. Wiita's professional success has been his academic achievements. In 2014, he completed a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a marketing specialty, at The Ohio State University. He then furthered his education at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, earning a Juris Doctor in 2017. Additionally, he is licensed as an attorney by the Supreme Court of Ohio and holds certifications as a certified financial planner and a certified kingdom advisor.
Before Mr. Wiita decided to pursue a career in law, he served as a quality control manager and social media designer for American Health Advantage. Concurrently, he also contributed as a Northeast Ohio regional writer for ChatSports.
Mr. Wiita's legal career began with the Medina County Prosecutor's Office, where he served as an assistant prosecutor from 2017 to 2019. Before this role, he gained invaluable experience working as a legal extern at NASA's Glenn Research Center. From 2016 to 2017, he served as a law clerk in the corporate law department at Progressive Insurance, where he refined his legal skills. Other professional roles include serving as a civil litigation resident at the Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic, as a legal intern with the Cleveland Browns and as a legal extern for the Capital Habeas Unit of the Federal Public Defender.
Currently, in addition to his senior wealth management position, Mr. Wiita is working with a new organization to potentially expand his work in law, specifically in the health care setting. He is also working with two writers to help bring his life story to the silver screen.
The Root of Success
Mr. Wiita credits his strong support as the reason for his success, expressing that the unwavering support of his parents was a pillar of strength during challenging times, particularly after his spinal cord injury at age 17. In 2015, his life was transformed after he met his wife, who embraced his injury and offered him unconditional support, standing alongside and encouraging him every step of the way.
Mr. Wiita's journey is a powerful message about how external circumstances do not have to overshadow one's ability to pursue personal dreams and hold onto one's beliefs. He emphasizes that resilience and support can enable individuals to overcome nearly any obstacle, believing that everyone has the strength to rise above, a philosophy that informs his work to this day.
Outside of the Office
Outside of his professional work, Mr. Wiita is actively involved in various civic causes, including serving as a fan advisory board member for the Cleveland Browns from 2014 to 2015. He is also actively involved as a member of the operating committee at Northside Christian Church.
In his free time, Mr. Wiita enjoys spending time with his family. He also leads a weekly Bible study group. Looking to the future, he aims to lead the strategic vision of his family-owned firm by incorporating new technologies and expanding its "wealth collaboration" approach.
