When Roger Sutton started his cleaning company, A Fine Shine, he had in mind to bring a different level of cleaning services to the DFW and Edmond-Oklahoma City areas.
"What I wanted to do was provide a superior level of customer service and add a couple of things that other companies are missing. We do outside power washing, windows and we even hang Christmas lights. These might sound odd for a cleaning company, but it is something our service areas need," Mr. Sutton said.
Over the years, his customers have also told him that his work is just good. They said he needs to do more to let the public know about the work. So many have told him they wished they had known about his company much sooner.
"The customer is right," Mr. Sutton said. "They told me to reach out. They said I need to tell more people; I do. But here is my problem with that. I could devote my time to taking care of my customers and making sure all the work is done right or I could spend my time on marketing."
For this small businessman, the choice was clear. His customers are the priority.
"I went into business to take care of people, not be a salesman. I am in business to make sure my customers get the service they deserve, not figure out ways to increase my marketing reach," he said.
