Hangzhou FTZ achievements win provincial honor

Four achievements by the Hangzhou area of China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone were recently named among the FTZ's 10 major achievements, local media outlets reported.

In terms of intellectual property, the Hangzhou area's Binjiang section set a new record in the standardization of stages of pledge services for data intellectual property rights.

With regard to the building of an international trade center, Hangzhou has been one of the leading Chinese cities in building cross-border e-commerce pilot zones. The city has also been included as an e-CNY pilot city. PingPong, an overseas collection service provider from Hangzhou, also qualified for domestic payment.

In terms of aviation, the new terminal of Hangzhou's international airport had passed the acceptance test and was listed by the Asian Games as the top choice for entry into the city during the sporting event.

The Hangzhou area has also witnessed the signing of several headquarters projects over the past two months. Among these projects is a 200-million-yuan ($31.4 million) investment by global Top 500 investment group Saint-Gobain which will be used to produce new materials for the biopharmaceuticals, medical apparatus, and electronic semiconductors sectors.
