Milk Pick Releases Shocking 2022 Data Report Outlining the Price of Milk in Each US State

From the Gold Coast of California to the Hills of Colorado and Up to the Empire State; Milk Pick Offers an Unbiased Report of Consumer Prices By State

(PRUnderground) September 20th, 2022

It is no secret that in the past couple of years, inflation has impacted every American home as gas skyrockets, food prices soar, and the general cost of living continues on an upward trajectory. However, depending on where one lives, these costs can be widely varied. A common staple in nearly every home, the average price of a gallon of milk recently reached an all-time high. Milk Pick, the leading educational resource for people who want to learn about all the different milk options available, recently released its 2022 Data Report displaying the price scale for a gallon of milk by state.

Data was strategically gathered based on the cost of one gallon of Great Value Whole Vitamin D Milk at a Walmart located in (or closest to) the largest city of each state. In doing this, Milk Pick was able to reach an “apples to apples” conclusion to their research to help consumers better understand the price of their weekly purchases.

According to its research, Milk Pick concluded that Hawaii has the most expensive gallon of milk at $5.94, whereas Georgia has the cheapest at $1.67. It comes as no surprise that those states with the cheapest milk are primarily located in the midwest or near dairy production centers.

While a gallon of milk costs $3.50-$4.00 in most states, many states are seeing prices as high as nearly six dollars a gallon or as low as under two dollars a gallon. Taking research a step further, Milk Pick compared the median annual income of each state to the price of a gallon of milk to display average affordability in each state. Unfortunately for many, the cost of milk in 2022 can be quite burdensome for those who have growing families to feed in relation to their income.

However, Milk Pick is on a mission to offer an unbiased look behind the curtain to display every option available in the milk industry, including plant-based milk. In a world full of options, nut milk, oat milk, and other plant-based milk may be a cheaper alternative for consumers living in those pricier states.

Through proof of concept, dedication to innovation, and unwavering commitment to helping the public navigate the nutritional value of various milk products, Milk Pick’s purpose-driven vision has come to fruition.
