On
November 9, 2010, Michael C. Arnold, the Executive Vice President and President — Bearings
and Power Transmission of The Timken Company (the “Company”), notified the Company that he intends to leave the
Company at the end of the year. He has accepted a new position as CEO and president of a
private equity-owned firm. He will officially retire from the Company on December 31, 2010.
