On December 16, 2016, Cummins Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors authorized the Company to repurchase an additional $1 billion of shares of common stock upon expiration of the Company’s 2015 $1 billion share repurchase program.  A copy of the press release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
