On August 25, 2009, American Apparel, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that its annual meeting of stockholders has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 2:00 pm Pacific Time at the Company’s headquarters located at 747 Warehouse Street, Los Angeles, CA 90021.  The record date for voting has been set for September 10, 2009.  The press release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
