Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On September 14, 2018, Mr. David E. Goel resigned from the Board of Directors of Popular, Inc. (the Corporation), effective immediately. Mr. Goel had served as a director of the Corporation, and its two banking subsidiaries, Banco Popular de Puerto Rico and Popular Bank, since 2012. His decision to resign did not result from any disagreement with the Corporation on any matter relating to the Corporations operations, policies or practices.
