Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.

A recent news article that discussed a $49 million Befiex tax credit utilized in Brazil by Whirlpool did not include the following information:

that Whirlpool has consistently reported the amount of Brazilian Befiex tax credits, including the amount of credits remaining, in its periodic reports, including disclosure in the “Critical Accounting Policies and Estimates” section of its Form 10-K Management’s Discussion and Analysis; and

that Whirlpool’s periodic reports have stated its intention to continue to recognize such credits on a quarterly basis in the future, and thus the credits are expected to have recurring impact on the financial results of its Brazilian operations.

The information in this Form 8-K is being furnished and shall not be deemed “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 or otherwise subject to the liabilities of that Section. The information in this Form 8-K shall not be incorporated by reference into any filing under the Securities Act of 1933, except as shall otherwise be expressly set forth by specific reference in such filing.
