Mexico City, February 1, 2005—TV Azteca, S.A. de C.V. (NYSE: TZA; BMV: TVAZTCA; Latibex: XTZA), one of the two largest producers of Spanish language television programming in the world, announced today that, as it has been made of public knowledge, the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores formally required the company to offer whatever elements may assist the company in the exercise of its constitutional right to an administrative hearing, with respect to the transactions carried out in 2003 among Unefon, Nortel and Codisco.

TV Azteca is one of the two largest producers of Spanish language television programming in the world, operating two national television networks in Mexico, Azteca 13 and Azteca 7, through more than 300 owned and operated stations across the country.
