On July 21, 2008, Service Corporation International (NYSE: SCI -“SCI”) sent a letter to the Board of Directors of Stewart Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: STEI - “Stewart”). The letter is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
