On September 18, 2007, Geovic Mining Corp. (“Geovic”; TSXV:GMC), announced that its 60%-owned subsidiary, Geovic Cameroon, PLC, has engaged Citigroup ("Citi"), a leading global financial services company, as its exclusive financial advisor for the development and construction of its Nkamouna cobalt-nickel project in Cameroon.  A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
