The agreement replaces the desktop engagement software Varney has run for 20 years and covers audit and attest, tax, and client accounting services.
Varney will bring its audit and attest practice to Fieldguide by the end of 2026, including employee benefit plan, government, nonprofit, and commercial audits, along with reviews, compilations, preparations, Form 990 tax work, and bank tax work. Its client accounting services and bank consulting teams follow in January, with business tax and individual returns moving over after the 2027 tax season.
