Rebecca Padgett School of Performing Arts Builds Social Distancing Dance Pods™

Savannah, GA – August 5, 2020 – The new normal for extracurricular activities has been exceptionally difficult to navigate. One dance school Rebecca Padgett School of Performing Arts has gone above and beyond the call for safety and rebuilt customized dance pods for their community. Their founder Anekia Boatwright Mcghee states why the studio chose to rebuild.

How did you come up with the dance pods™ for your studio?

Our village is our heart and we heard the concern that was echoed within our community. We wanted to help create a safe space for our students. We saw that parents were scared to send their kids anywhere because they are afraid. We wanted to build something that brought a sense of relief that we are committed to keeping not only their children safe but our staff as well. The dance pods™ allow the students to be able to see their friends, have fun and be safe. The teacher is able to see every student and interact with the class and give meaning direction. The students leave feeling fulfilled and are able to socialize and the parents feel relieved that when they come through our doors, we have done everything right the first time. From start to finish the dance experience is choreographed from the fever checks, ultraviolet wands to sanitize, we have even removed all of the carpeted surfaces inside the building to better clean and sanitize. We are moving safer, smarter, stronger.  Our Healthcare Advisory board is one of our wins in building as we have frontline healthcare workers to guide us in everything that we are rolling out to the community. For us now is the time to work together to rebuild a new normal and it’s our mission to lead with love.
