Dr. Kevin Jarrell is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Modular Genetics. Inventor of the company's patent portfolio and nationally recognized expert on biotechnology.

He served on the National Bio-Defense Safety Council for the Secretary of Health and Human Services. In his academic career at Harvard University, Boston University, and Ohio State University, his research resulted in numerous publications and contributed significantly to the current understanding of how living organisms manipulate their genetic information.

Of specific interest are the limitations associated with the current genetic engineering tools available to the scientist as well as the emergence of high-throughput technologies aimed at increasing the size and diversity of genetic libraries under study through the use of automation and efficient design. In addition, Dr. Jarrell's work has resulted in seven U.S. issued patents and twenty six pending applications.

Terry Brennan, Chief Financial Officer
Terry is a finance & operations executive with experience in the chemical, private equity and venture capital markets. He holds P&L responsibility and manage all financial and administrative functions.

He has previously worked with Private Equity firms and Venture Capital funds like JPB Enterprises, Community Technology Fund and Watermill Ventures, where he reviewed deals for determination of indication of interest. Completed purchase of a corporate divestiture in thin film coating, and managed nine early stage portfolio companies in Medical Devices, Drug Discovery and Biotechnology.

He also has worked with KPMG and Ernst and Young as a Senior Manager, where he focused on transactions, restructurings and performance improvement with Private Equity and mid to large strategic clients. Earned corporate bonus rewarded to top 10% of performers.

He attended Northeastern University for his, MA – MBA and Ecole Superieure de Commerce; Reims, France for International MBA Program.
