Calfee Zoning Sponsors the Washington, D.C.-Based Form-Based Codes Institute’s Study on Economic Benefits of Form-Based Zoning Codes

Calfee Zoning, a leading national zoning code consultancy affiliated with the firm, Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP, will participate as a sponsor of the Form-Based Codes Institute’s study of the economic benefits of form-based zoning codes. The FBCI, a program of Smart Growth America, is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to advancing the understanding and use of form-based codes.

Sean S. Suder, Lead Principal and Founder of Calfee Zoning, has been named to the Form-Based Codes Institute’s Resource Council. The role of Resource Council members is to actively assist the FBCI Steering Committee and staff with teaching, research, outreach and similar activities in support of the Form-Based Codes Institute’s mission. Resource Council members are expected to offer specific expertise and a depth of experience to FBCI, in areas such as real estate development, finance, drafting codes, code administration, local government, state and federal public policy, land use and zoning law, and urban design. Each Resource Council member is expected to serve a term of five years and may be reappointed thereafter.
